Legal Translation Training – Indonesian Criminal Law System
This program focuses on one of the most demanding areas of language work: legal translation accuracy and contextual understanding.
The training combines theoretical foundations with practical case-based exercises to help participants understand not only terminology, but also the legal reasoning behind documents and proceedings.
For our most recent Legal Translation Training, we were honored to have Ibu Anna Wiksmadhara, a senior legal translator with more than 30 years of professional experience, serving as trainer and editor of the training materials. Her extensive expertise provided participants with valuable real-world insight into legal translation standards, challenges, and professional best practices.
Training materials cover:
- Indonesian criminal law framework (KUHP & KUHAP)
- Integrated criminal justice system
- Stages of criminal proceedings
- Legal reasoning and procedural terminology
- A thematic glossary of approximately 200 legal terms and concepts
Participants develop the ability to translate legal documents with precision while understanding procedural context — an essential skill for court, institutional, and international legal work.
Participation:
- 45 participants (hybrid training: online & offline)
A Real Conference Learning Environment
One of the key strengths of Bahasa Interpreters training is that participants do not learn in a purely classroom setting.
They train in a professional meeting environment that mirrors real international events.
Our training setup includes:
- A dedicated meeting room designed to support focused and collaborative learning
- Hybrid meeting support team enabling both onsite and online participation
- Wireless delegate microphone system with camera tracking capability, allowing participants to practice realistic speaking and interpreting dynamics
- A real interpreter booth used in professional conferences
- Full Simultaneous Interpreting System (SIS) including consoles, headsets, and receivers
This immersive environment allows participants to experience actual working conditions — from microphone handling and booth coordination to real-time interpreting pressure — preparing them for professional assignments with confidence.
